Event Description:
The Beginner Beekeeping course is a great opportunity for new beekeepers prior to their first year of beekeeping. It can also be a great refresher course for beekeepers going into their first winter. The fee for this course is $100 per person and includes the course textbook and reference notebook. Honeybee Diseases is focused non-chemical and IPM strategies for management practices for all of the major threats to a healthy colony. The Queens and Nucs course is intended to teach beekeepers to be more sustainable through the production and use of nucleus colonies and backyard queen production. Swarm Management covers swarm biology and behavior to teach beekeepers how to prevent and manage swarming.

Date/Time Information:
The Beginner Beekeeping courses will be on consecutive Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The first runs from January 3rd to January 31st and the second runs from February 14th to March 14th. Honeybee Diseases will be January 16th and 23rd from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Queens and Nucs will be February 13th, and 20th, 6:00pm to 8:30pm, and Swarm Management will be March 6th and 13th, 6:00pm to 8:30pm
